Our driver / concierge plays a pivotal role in crafting seamless guest experiences. From elegant trips between our sites, to thoughtful local recommendations, you’ll be the welcoming face and trusted guide for our guests—ensuring every journey is as memorable as the destination. With a deep knowledge of the Lake District, a flair for discretion, and a passion for service, you’ll help us deliver the kind of personalised excellence that defines Gilpin’s reputation.

🧑‍✈️ Your Role as Driver / Concierge:

• Chauffeurs guests in style between our two properties, ensuring comfort, safety, and punctuality.
• Provides a warm, professional welcome and farewell, assisting with luggage and offering concierge-level support.
• Shares local insights, restaurant recommendations, and activity suggestions with flair and discretion.
• Maintains immaculate presentation of vehicles and upholds Gilpin’s luxury standards at all times.
• Supports the Lake House and Front Office teams with guest requests, turndowns, errands, and occasional valet duties.

🧩 What You Bring:

• Previous experience in a five-star luxury hospitality setting.
• A confident, courteous driver with a full UK driving licence and clean record.

• Passionate about guest experience, with a calm and professional manner.
• Knowledgeable about the Lake District and enthusiastic about sharing it.
• Impeccably presented, with a natural flair for service and discretion.
• Flexible, proactive, and happy to assist across departments when needed.

Salary: from £28,665 to £31,005

Gratuities are allocated on a points basis, depending on development tiers. Although variable, average levels are projected as being from £240 to £550 per month.
